Heavenly Bamboo is not really a problem, unlike MURDER HORNETS.

All parts of the bamboo plant are poisonous. The plant contains cyanogenic glycosides that produce cyanide when they are broken down in the digestive tract.

The leaves and green fruits are strongly cyanogenic, while the ripe fruits are less so.

Interestingly, human poisonings have not been reported, possibly due to the small glycoside content in ripe berries, small amounts ingested, or the cultivated varieties of this plant.

I went through 30 minutes of absolute terror because my idiot Doberman decided to chomp a hearty mouthful of leaves outside ofca Hobby Lobby one night.

Now I carry hydrogen peroxide and a livestock syringe in the car WITH me

Activated charcoal too

Then a mystery tree popped up in my yard that was also an imported invasive that’s dog-dangerous.

Amur Honeysuckle.

No idea where it came from.

Had to stand out there for hours with a battery powered Sawzall to get rid of it.

It’s a never ending battle when you have goofy dogs who randomly snack on any plant they can get close to.

😑
