To: old school

I’m reminded of when my friend, last survivor of the USS Arizona Lou Conter died two years ago and was buried in the small town of Grass Valley, CA. He didn’t lack for family and friends who turned out in force, but also citizens lined the streets between the church and cemetery. The schools were let out and the students walked to the cemetery. It’s a beautiful thing when “the thanks of a grateful nation” shows up to show their gratitude
