Yep, when they let toyota in and the cars and drivers all started looking alike that was the and for me.

That and the implementation of “stages”.

Spent a lot of time at Daytona speedway but when it got to the point of spending $90+ for a place to stand for several hours that was it.

I used to know a couple track workers, corner types and minor officials. They worked the races and tracks from North Carolina to Pennsylvania.

They started noticing stands emptying out around 2010. Everyone they talked to said the same thing. Races had become boring and tickets were too expensive.
