Long past time to retire the Bond franchise. The original character was a WWII vet. Resurrect the character as a granddaughter if they must have the Bond connection.
Retire James Bond. Focus on "M". Judi Dench did a good job. It's a good way of remaining relevant without having to be woke.
But they're not going to do that. They'll probably make somebody like Stephen Colbert the next James Bond.
He’s not debonair enough and probably too old (born 1967), but Jason Statham fits the original character.
