He will never be released. He is serving long time for other crimes. Let’s just say I am close to an attorney who is deeply involved in this matter. It makes no sense that he would murder his wife and son who he adored. Remember, he is an attorney with a long family history in the low counties of SC; lots of enemies. He’s a scumbag for sure, but that does not make him a murderer. Lots of circumstantial evidence and he has lied unnecessarily, which definitely hurt his case.

I don’t know if he did, or didn’t, but there is some fishy stuff in the background that make me doubt that he did.

Actual evidence used in the case was damning.

The Kennel Video (Crucial Evidence): A video found on Paul Murdaugh’s cell phone, recorded at 8:44 p.m. on June 7, 2021, placed Alex Murdaugh at the scene of the crime (the kennels) minutes before the murders. This directly contradicted his statement to police that he was not at the kennels that night.

Data from phones, cars, and home security indicated a timeline fitting the prosecution’s theory. This included rapid movement and a 911 call after the killings, with evidence showing Murdaugh’s phone was on the move or being used around the time of the murders.

Prosecutors argued that overwhelming pressure from immense financial crimes (stealing from clients) led Murdaugh to commit the murders to buy time and evade exposure.

A box containing 300 Blackout ammunition was found in the home, matching the type of ammunition used in the assault rifle that killed Maggie. Even though the guns were never found, the guns used in the fatal shootings of Paul and Maggie were like guns belonging to the Murdaugh. He had lied to investigators about not being at the scene of the crime that night. He claimed that his decades-long opioid addiction had made him paranoid, and he feared he would be suspected if he told the truth. Alex Murdaugh was a practicing attorney at the time his wife and son were murdered on June 7, 2021.

Forensic experts testified that significant gunshot residue (GSR) was found on Alex Murdaugh’s hands, clothing, and a blue raincoat, with a high concentration of 38 particles found inside the coat. The residue was found within six hours of the murders, and particles were also present on his shirt and shorts.

They’ve got him there, they’ve got the type of weapons used that are missing they owned, they have GSR on him less than six hours after the shooting, and he lied about different aspects of the case. If it was worth doing, then do it right.
