Football coach Lane Kiffin says some top recruits would tell him they were not interested in coming to Ole Miss while he was running the program there before his move to LSU.
Kiffin discussed the concerns in a recent article in Vanity Fair. "[They would say], 'Hey, coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren't letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi,'" Kiffin said, according to the magazin Source Ue. "That doesn't come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus' diversity feels so great: 'It feels like there's no segregation. And we want that for our kid because that's the real world.'"
According to the article, Kiffin clarified his remark one day later: "I just hope [my comment] comes across respectful to Ole Miss.... There are some things that I'm saying that are factual, they're not shots."

But did they really say that? Kiffen has shown himself to be an unreliable narrator.
Kiffin enjoys being the bad boy. It’s a shame that he’s making LSU a national pariah.
I wonder how much the SPLC was paying Duke?
Looks as though Kiffin is now getting his talking points from James Carville.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana - 34.8% white - 50.5% Black
Did he get a degree?
Bingo!
Many Americans do not realize that College Football is now a paid professional sport.
Many top college players now sign multi-million Dollar ad contracts, before they even arrive on campus.
That is most of the Klan! The media promotes the KKK, but it's really a joke.
W. Kamau Bell had a show on CNN and he met with "the leader" of a Klan group. It was one person with a robe in his closet. I hardly call that a leader, or even a Klan group. One loser who likes to dress up.
And if he was so dangerous, why did he agree to do an interview with a black guy doing a show for CNN?
If you believed television, half of Los Angeles County, and 90% of Orange County is KKK or Neo-Nais.
The fact that top athletes who are black decide to go to Ole Miss? Two first round draft picks in 2026, and one next year. They had options. [Just to be clear, I am not a fan of Ole Miss or anything, but this is crazy.]
Why stop there? Why not say Eli Manning and A.J. Brown are Grand Wizards?
I feel like that is misleading without context. Duke was a Democrat, but the Dems had several good candidates, so he switched to Republican, and promptly ever Republican in the state campaigned against him.
Two things: LSU is so loyal it fired Orgeron less than two years after he won their first title in 16 years. So, there’s that. But Orgeron isn’t exactly a saint. But LSU’s athletic program is disloyal and unethical anyway, so...
As if there wasn’t enough reasons to hate Lane Kiffin. Can’t wait until LSU doesn’t make the CFP this year.
Orgeron was the epitome of an LSU football coach. He was a great recruiter and motivator. He would’ve stayed at LSU until retirement.
Kiffin is the classic mercenary. LSU will rue the day it fired Orgeron, and spent over $100 million to get its next two football coaches, Kelly and Kiffin.
Diversity??? Old Miss Rebel team is almost entirely black players.
“Vote for the Crook.
It’s important”
Does he just say all that vile stuff for money?
Or does he really believe that vile stuff?
Either way, he ain’t no “good” guy.
Are you all suggesting that the International Bankers in New York haven’t been getting a good return on their money that they laundered through the SPLC to the Klan?
I think the SPLC actually reinforces what I said. The SPLC has to fund these “groups” because there aren’t enough out there in the wild. The demand for these groups exceeds the supply.
Kiffin likes whatever helps his bank account grow. He’s not a lot different from every Congress critter. Or Tucker, MTG, Candace Owens, etc. Morals are for suckers like me.
LSU pays more than Ole Miss. That’s all that matters now.
