My wife is from China and I have been there four times. We spent all of last month traveling around central China by train. We have travelled extensively around the country by train. The only place saw a windfarm was about 100 miles NE of Beijing, I’m guessing that it probably had 20 wind turbines at most. My guess is that it’s a demonstration site for selling these things to stupid Americans and Europeans. The Chinese don’t have any issues with separating you from your money. On the other hand, traveling through China, you see numerous coal and nuclear power plants, no “green energy” sites to be found.
They are building at least a new Power Plant a week, mostly coal. I believe that Trump will advise Xi that he can bypass reliance on Iran and the Strait of Hormuz by the new pipelines that are coming on stream from Iraq to Yanbu on the Red Sea. They just added 4 Million Barrels per day and will ramp up to 20 million barrels per day within two years. This bypasses Iran’s stranglehold on oil in the world. In addition, Trump is helping Venezuela ramp up production to 4 million barrels per day, so all of China’s needs will be met outside of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The Geopolitical world is about to be shaken forever.
