Lewiston, ME(the home of LL Bean) was where they settled most of them in Maine.

Yup. Portland, too. Crime is off the charts. Used to be somewhat quaint and safe in the 90's 2000's.

Yes, Portland used to be a nice(but very liberal)city to visit. I spent a week on Peaks Island back about 30 years ago.

Plus several times I helped sail my father in law’s sloop from Portsmouth, NH up to Falmouth/Fourside marina. Then we would sail around the Casco Bay islands for August vacation.
My father in law will be 88 this July.

I also saw Kenny Chesney at the Portland civic center when he really hit it big with his No Shoes, no problem tour.

Now, I drive by on my way to Camden or Mount Desert Island.
