I don’t see wind being economical along the east coast of the USA.

The wind is too variable in speed and location.

As for solar, my appliances, water heater and AC systems have no coordinating means to work with solar panels.

One cam cook the 'recyclable' blades using lots of energy and the "pollutant" CO2, and probably expect "the government" at some level to pay for the enterprise....

Years ago I read an article in teh Wall Street Journal written by a famous wealthy investor. Not Buffet but I forget who it was.

He was asked to invest in a massive wind farm miles offshore. He said that the ROI looked pretty good and he was ready to sign the contract but at the last minutes asked his people to analyze ROI WITHOUT government subsidies.

The ROI became nonexistent and he didn’t invest.

I also used to work with a solar cell manufacturer in Michigan as a vendor. They grew like crazy until a couple euroean countries decided to cancel their subsidies. Belly up not long after that.
