Can’t we let the market decide?
All that being said China does not have the natural resources WE have here in North America. Meaning they have to import almost all their petroleum products. They also do not have much natural gas. They do have coal, but it is not nearly as good of quality as the coal here in the USA or elsewhere like Australia or Malaysia.
China has some big rivers that they have dammed. Like the Three Gorges dam.
China has also built a lot of huge solar arrays to generate electricity.
My point is China has to make choices in generating power by multiple means. They do not have 250 years worth of Methane that they can pump out of the ground in Asia. We do.
They also have to import oil. We don't as much.
So, maybe the reason they are building all these wind turbines and solar arrays is that they don't have a choice to power their country.
In Communist China, a country with little to no known or exploitable oil reserves to speak of, wind and solar power are great for them. (snicker)
The government can just take money and pour it into wind and solar projects.
Nobody complains.
If it is unreliable and doesn’t supply power, they can build coal power plants.
Nobody complains.
If the things break down, they fudge the books to show it didn’t. Palms are greased. Customers have brownouts and blackouts.
Nobody complains.
If it looks like crap and kills birds it makes no difference.
Nobody complains.
If people say they don’t want to live near them, their Social Credit Score is decreased, they are ineligible for well paying jobs, or they are thrown in prison.
Nobody complains.
It is the perfect solution for them, where there is no market to decide. The CCP decides!
The market is fixed by the profiteers. Just like on the BulletTrain here in CaCaLand. Voters voted it down, but judges ruled that citizens’ votes mean nothing since only legislature makes the laws.
So, we have massive scams that profit realtors and politicos — who skim the $$. No free market can exist if any gov’mt aspect is involved.
