That’s interesting.

I fully admit, I don’t know (and honestly, never cared to dig into it) the extent of bird strikes beyond that it happens.

But I fully embraced the bird strike issue as a cudgel to use against Leftist Environazis who support wind power AND wildlife preservation.

It always was an entertaining and pointed way to place them on the horns of a dilemma that was unresolvable for them, and I rather enjoyed seeing them squirm!

Does that make me a bad person????

No, it makes them into HYPOCRITES. Which 90% of liberals really are. I personally like to bring up the babies born with birth defects in the Congo. So that they can have Cobalt in their EV battery.

Also, like when the whales started breaching along the NJ coast after the new wind farm was built off shore. Maybe it was just a coincidence. However, some scientists thought the vibrations from the turbines were screwing up the whales sonar or brains.

Just like there are people who say the constant thump, thump, thump from a wind turbine gives them issues if they live near these things.

About fifteen/twenty years back I invested in Vestas Wind Systems stock. They were the largest producer of turbines back then. They are a Denmark corporation. All the predictions were that the amount of turbines to be built in the world was going to increase ten fold. I doubled my investment and then sold the stock after a year or two. The issue was more of the Euro currency up against the dollar. So, that cut into the margin on the stock trade.

I also have a cousin in WNY who has a couple of these turbines on his former family dairy farm. He gets paid a lease. I asked him what happens to the tons of concrete in the ground? He said it will be there forever. He also has two natural gas wells on his farm. He has free gas forever.

As far as bird strikes I do not know any more than we all read on the internet. It seems that the government looks the other way when it comes to these turbines. Like they do with the solar farms burning up birds. Where as if any other corporation killed an Eagle it would be shut down immediately.
