“Judicial Accountability for Irresponsible Leniency (JAIL) Act “

This is the first I have heard about this attempt to assign accountability to the legal profession particularly judges. It is of course sad that this type of legislation even needs to be brought up. So without doing any real research I assume that every D is against it and probably about a third of the R group is also. That is sad.

I think the Constitution specifies justice for everyone, but it doesn’t seem to get enforced. This is curious because there are those that seem to want to enforce justice properly. They may campaign for office on that, but someone disagrees & in the argument it seems that justice is not done, often because of some judge. This has got to change, but who can change it? Someone can take a dubious argument & make it sound perfectly reasonable. It seems to all depend on who is the smoothest talker although that person may be absolutely wrong. Hence we will have criminals who see “judge shopping” as a way out of a particular criminal charge...and it sure seems to work. One thing is certain....no matter who is doing what, it must absolutely be done according to our Constitution, the law of the land. Then there may be several opinions about what the Constitution really says.
