Selling at auction means the vehicles may very well fall back into the hands of some jsckass that will do the same.

Crushing them and making it VERY public that, that is what’s going to happen woukd be an effective deterant IMO.

Selling at auction means the vehicles may very well fall back into the hands of some jackass that will do the same.

But the new owner is now known and documented. He had to pay for it at auction and now will have to pay again to get it back. Hopefully he will think twice about using it again for illegal activity.
