I wished the stuff wasn’t so overwhelmingly bitter to me no matter what I have tried to use for a sweetener.

The bitterness is called “sweetness” to Coffee people. I drink dark roast because less acid and caffeine.

Put a vrty small pinch of kosher salt in your coffee. This cuts bitterness.

Sweetener covers the bitterness, but actually increases bitterness it overlays.

Note I said kosher salt. Iodized salt has a flavor you can taste.
