chicken feet. Fish heads and rice, etc. I've heard all kinds of complaints from Western expats about the food in China. Famine has been a longstanding problem in China. It makes sense they'd eat just about anything. Taste wasn't always the top consideration.

Our local Korean supermarket sells marinated chicken feet, although I’ve never tried it.
Of course, except they now think that all of that crap they were eating because they were starving are "delicacies" and how dare you say that feces might actually taste better than most of it.
If we decide to have Asian food for Christmas this year, I’m thinking of making chicken feet. My sil is from the Philippines, and she would love it!
But authentic Szechuan spicy beef is really good. When I've ordered it in the US, I would spend five minutes explaining what I'm looking for. They get it close, but not quite.
