According to one of those TV shows that were intended to tell teenagers what doing illegal stuff would result in...remember those? They strip you naked. They delouse you. They make you bend over for a cavity search. You have to use the bathroom on a toilet exposed on all sides in your cell. You have zero privacy and you wear a uniform probably made from paper. That’s pretty much what I’d expect for treatment. They may have also been impolite and condescending. From what I understand you can’t refer to the staff by name.
I couldn’t bear to read the article on account of my blood pressure, but I’m wondering if the treatment was anything beyond that.
