Yup, it’s a long winding trip to get a ship out of the Great Lakes into the Atlantic. But it’s well worth the effort from being able to build in fresh water and having steel, etc. easy to get to. The locks will always limit the size of ships we can build there and also drive out. I expect the Columbus and her sisters are about the biggest things that can sail out. Some of the bulk haulers are huge but they live there.——kind of like the Swiss Navy in Lake Geneva.
