Ah gee. I was sort of free today and, had I known, I could have waited at the Port Colborne lock to snap another photo for you as it travelled up the Welland Canal. If you can figure out when it’s coming back, I can try on the return trip.

The USS Cleveland is not likely to come back this way - it will be ported out of Mayport Navy Base in Jacksonville, FL.

Built in Wisconsin, it stopped in Cleveland for tours and a commissioning ceremony. I got a few photos of it coming in, but I did not attend the commissioning.

Actually, it isn’t the Port Colborne lock, it’s the Port Colborne bridge over the Welland Canal. I think the 8 locks are just numbered and don’t have names.
