Interesting... I don't think I have ever heard such a thing - except perhaps mystics and 'spiritual' types having 'visions.' I have heard that people who have nearly fatal accidents or med emergencies claim that they float above their bodies and look down hoping someone will help 'that person.'
At my age, and my health, it might be nice to have an extended out of body experience! 🤔 I suppose in heaven perhaps we will: we won't have fleshly bodies. 🤷
Out of body experience, kinda like LSD, or should I say out of mind experience. I had a couple, once when in a high fever, another time when I asked God if hell was real. I don’t ask anymore.

That’s what it feels like when it’s happening. I’m above myself looking down at me doing whatever. The corporal me can’t look up and see the ghostly me looking down, but I can prolong it as long as I want to. I usually stop after half a minute because there’s nothing to see really.
When I was in a car accident some 20 years ago - we got broadsided on MY side of my friend’s Jeep, I kind of recall something like that but the memory is very fuzzy. I was knocked out and had a fractured cranium that resulted in a week-long hospital stay while they examined my noggin in some sort of scanner daily to keep an eye on brain swelling.
I told them it was always bigger than the average brain, but they did not believe me. LOL
Anyway, I seem to very vaguely recall encountering some sort of guardian angel that day, although it could all have been a dream. I mean, when you get K/Oed by a mini-van, you probably dream some weird stuff.
I don’t know if I would want an out of body experience, but I sometimes have dreams of flying(and not on a plane) and I think it would be cool to zoom around the skies.
