Sea Lions don't usually wander this far inland. If you know this are, it does border the very South part of the San Francisco Bay, but that's not an area you really find sea lions, or other large marine life.

Looking at a map and spending where he was found looks like under a mile from the bay. But it’s very marshy in that part of the bay and you wouldn’t expect to see them hanging around there

The scent of Mexian food probably motivated his wandering.Apparently the costal waters of California have been overfished. Sea lions and some whales are starving and are behaving oddly.

Sweet baby. We’re very happy that he’s healthy again. Do hope, however, that he finds his family or at leeast some friends very soon. All the sea lions I’ve ever seen were in groups, many of them in San Francisco Bay.
