Actually, LBJ's welfare programs were the start. The deindustrialization of the US, which started after Nixon gave us EPA and took us off the Bretton Woods gold mechanism, simultaneously strangled US heavy industry while allowing unlimited trade deficits from unfair foreign competition.

Industry was the escalator that moved millions of European immigrants and their descendants into the middle class. That door was shut mainly to black Americans due to discrimination. It wasn't until 1973 that the courts ruled that anti-discrimination statutes negated union contract "white males only" clauses.

So just as the door to prosperity was opened for blacks by the law, it was slammed shut by idiotic economic and environmental policies.

It’s discrimination for cause. They’re illiterate AND entitled. Why would you disrupt your work crew by hiring one that is entitled enough to get away with making the whites and messicans do your work for you ?
