I am one million percent for it!! They make the mess then move to the good states to Californicate them. Let them be reminded of why they left with a nice healthy retroactive “remember us” message.
The reprehensible lying pile of dog poop Governor of Maryland and the scum they call the state Assembly did just that last year. Along with equally pathetic county tax thieves, you may have to pay up to 1.5% of the sale price just to get out.
I’m planning to leave this craphole state in the next two years, if not sooner. I’d love to pay these vermin with a wheelbarrow full of nickels.
The idea floated is a massive tax that is imposed but for which you get a deduction by remaining in the state.
Most typically on a home but also wealth in general.
