WASHINGTON — Duck, cover, and grab the wine!
A woman was caught on camera blissfully snatching bottles of wine during the chaotic aftermath of the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
While throngs of reporters and other guests fled the Washington Hilton ballroom, an unknown blond woman wearing posh black fur went straight for a table to stockpile booze.
Because the shooting took place early, during the salad portion of the marquee dinner, there was an abundance of wine left abandoned at tables across the ballroom.
The woman’s identity is not immediately clear, and it’s not apparent whether she was a journalist or some other guest.

Well, black, white or Asian, they all went there for dinner and were likely hungry. Other than chitchatting and or drinking the abundance of available wine there was not much else to do while waiting to see if the dinner was going to continue or not.
I assume the booze is paid for by the guests at each table.
I suspect few employers want to pay for booze for employees nowadays.

I agree. News organizations pay for the table. Maybe she paid for the table. The danger was over. The dinner was over. She wasn’t looting Taking the wine was a normal “why let it go to waste” reaction. Besides the bottle might make a valuable souvenir someday.

A couple of dudes, including honorable Secret Service personnel doing their jobs bravely, could have been bleeding out in the lobby, and this woman has the presence of mind to steal? She could not have known everyone was okay.

Now that is true BS. They were filming every part of the event and know exactly who she is. They got her coming in, sitting, and followed her to the table. And the picture of the side of her face in the article is only a small part of the film. She’s caught with her hand in the cookie jar and stole tax payer purchased items.
