Pearlman is a very good scammer.

Well, to his credit, he supposedly readily admits it's all fake, just reading body language and other cues (never heard of the guy before this, just going by stories I read). So is he really a scammer? Uri Geller was a scammer - he pretended it was real.

The "mentalist" techniques he claims to use are just convincing sleight of hand & magic craft. There is plenty of info exposing his tactics, techniques and technology. He is very good at being quick on his feet. This long vid does a good job of deconstructing Oz's act.
