You left out Gerald R. Ford. There were two attempts on him. In his case I think it was mainly people who were trying to destabilize the country after Nixon resigned. His being President was happenstance.

Something like 7% of Presidents have been shot.

Whereas, he said that Race Car Drivers and Bull Riders only have one tenth of one percent chance of being killed.
