Or did the other side tip him off? I understand that this was Pres. Trump’s first time attending while holding the office of President.
The assailant ran very fast through the metal detector. One thing the Secret Service should train for is how to deal with assailant(s) on stimulants like amphetamines, and also powerful pain killers to be able to persist through neutralizing gunfire. In training scenarios, agents playing the role of assailants should do trials while on monitored levels of stimulants.

From the video clip I watched, the Secret Service agent was NOT looking at the entrance. He attention was to the side, probably looking at some skirt. If he had been looking toward the entrance he would have seen Cole a second or two before he ran right past him. This is a YUGE fail. Anyone else notice this?

They’re saying it’s difficult to get a reservation there during the WHCD. He would have had to have made the reservation months ago. But back then, he’d have had no way of knowing that Trump would attend. I think it’s pretty likely he had help.
