If you cut ties then they aren't loved ones.

I heard one woman say she loved her husband but divorced him because he no longer met her needs. Helloooooo! People you love, you work with even if it means tough love. If someone is guilty of substance abuse, you shouldn't enable them. If they are guilty of infidelity and have no intention of changing their ways, you don't keep them. If they have developed an extreme entitlement mentality like so many of the far left, you need to cut ties before they drag you to financial ruin.

Other than these three exceptions, if you love them, you will stand by them.
