From what I gather from the article, a home of an old man who is a ward of the State of Georgia was sold for $1.4 million to 227 Group LLC.
The now evicted daughter was living in the home.
The conservator allegedly didn’t file documents with the court showing where the $1.4 million is.
AG James didn’t get the matter resolved. She might not have the power to as it apparently is a State of Georgia legal matter.

In these type matters, I think Georgia Medicaid would kick in to take care of the father and it would be exempt from Medicaid attachment while a natural dependent of the father was living there.
NOTE: I’m not a lawyer and that may not be correct for some reason.

Why the backtrack? The AG had shown up for Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s presser announcing his new office on deed-theft prevention, and she had to race to get with the program. Didn't Mamdani run on NYC government stealing every deed in the city? (rent control)
