Ignorant boomers as always.

Paid hunting is over 60% of the wildlife conservation and anti poaching budgets in Zambia and Tanzania I know for sure. At least half in Namibia too.

Without paid hunters there would be no park and wildlife rangers to even try to stop the poachers nor would the countries even care about it. The only reason they stop poachers is because it cuts into the money that would come from hunters. $30,000 for a single animal vs under 100 for poached goods in the local black market. Sure not.money will be made once those goods are smuggled to the first world but the local impact on economy is small much smaller than what hunting revenue would bring.

Also hunters need places to stay, staff to guide them, food to eat every step in the process brings revenue from outside the impoverished region. Poachers strip mine resources and bring zero additional economic growth.

Flat out most parks and reserves in Africa would not exist without professional hunters and the Rangers they support.

I agree. Also, the animals have a quicker death than they would being chewed to death by another animal!

Ignorant punks have no idea how this works.

Ignorant boomers as always.

Neither ignorance nor arrogance are limited to specific generations (see my post #80)...

I sure have no issues with paid hunting—especially for needed culling of herds.

I am surprised at the responses here. Every person eating meat from restaurants or stores is paying for meat that is so processed, it’s in plastic. Someone had to put it there for them.

These hunters are not poachers. They are often doing this for a thrill and to also help locals both with a threat and financially. It is beautifully symbiotic.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I had the same attitude expressed by many on this thread until I was hired and filmed a hunting safari in Tanzania, lived in the bush for 3 weeks.

All of your points are on target, the locals now receive not only the meat but also money. As this evolved the locals do not fear the poachers anymore and turn them in which has save many many animals. Professional hunters who are paid to guide others also have a game warder in every group who authorizes the shot. They shoot single animals who have been exiled from the heard or are on the tail end of their life.

It is a far better and instant death rather then being eaten alive by other predators.

Hunting and culling fees is the money for the parks. You likely were not heard on this thread which is obviously supported by PETA. On the bright side no one tried to bash President Trump.

You think everyone here bashing hunting is a boomer

You know that how ?

Man the hatred here for older people now

Well you’re next up Xer

This forum has become a joke of the ignorant headline glancing sound and fury

You’re same as them ironically

But you’re right about African hunting and they are stupid and ill informed

All meat is consumed mostly by the locals

And the employment it brings and fees

And the culling when needed

Most of these hand wringers are women freepers

It’s what they do

Emote

Btw about voting

The highest proportional age bloc voting Trump has historically been 57-72

Early X and mid to late Boomer

I agree. Basic common sense. I support “legal” hunts.

eat every step in the process brings revenue from outside the impoverished region.

If he was a true humanitarian, he would have just sent the local village a check for $35K to help fuel their impoverished region.

Instead, he gets the pleasure of mounting the head of the animal he killed on the wall of his trophy room, and the outfitter takes his cut and makes a profit from that $35K.......

Sorry, but I don't see anything cool about that trophy room with the heads of animals that were killed just to feed the ego of this rich guy.....
