155 feet in the air? Can't be upward as that's about 15 stories. That's speeding big time to throw someone that far. Don't expect any sympathy for age or forgiveness when it's a hit and run.

I suspect that this is (once again) bad writing by “journalists”.
What probably happened is that they were thrown 155 feet from the point of impact to where the came to rest. Combined with the fact that they were also airborn for a good part of the distance that the victim traveled, the description isn’t innacurate, just badly worded.
