To investigate, researchers from the U. of Illinois Chicago, Northwestern U., and the U. of Washington examined donated brain samples from five groups: healthy young adults, healthy older adults, superagers aged 80 and older with exceptional memory, individuals with mild or early dementia, and those with Alzheimer’s disease.
I assume that the donors were already deceased.
This high volume ping list is for health articles and studies which describe something you or your doctor, when informed, may be able to immediately implement for your benefit.
How can I implement "born with a unique gene signature" in myself?

You should note epigenetic profiles are lifestyle influenced. You and I can tweak those.

When researchers compared the genetic and epigenetic profiles of neurons in superagers, they found a “very distinct” profile compared with all the other groups they examined.

The whole area under “What You Can Do” describes what those scientists say should help get you there.

Regardless, they proved new neurons are made in older people.
