Wasn’t Detroit under a mile of ice a few years back?

Not just Detroit.

Re: "Wasn't Detroit under a mile of ice a few years back?"

Yup.

Glacial Maximum during the last Ice Age was in the 22,000 to 25,000 years ago range. Seattle was under at least one half a mile of ice during the same period.

Also, there have been several extended warm periods in the last 15,000 years when global temperature has been higher than it is today.

There are also two major studies about the North Atlantic current that directly contradict the study that is discussed in this post.

A couple days ago, a Seattle Times environment reporter claimed - on a front page story - that human generated CO2 and warmer temperatures have extended the Seattle pollen season and hay fever season by 40 days!

Front Page!
