This is the first time I've heard of Amazon refusing to sell a book for political reasons. Not surprising given Jeff Bezos' political views and a bad omen - I wonder what the next book on the chopping block will be. The upside to the story is that in the end Amazon wants to make money, so they may sell books that Bezos and CEO Jassy dislike if there's enough backlash.

The Camp of Saints is one of the more prophetic political works out there, even more so than Orwell's 1984 or Huxley's Brave New World, since it describes the existential threat facing the western world today so accurately.

“I wonder what the next book on the chopping block will be.”

“Guns of the South” and “How Few Remain” by Harry Turtledove and Matt Bracken’s “Enemies” trilogy are on my list.
