This fills me with anger. It is an abdication of personal responsibility. It is dumb asses like this person who make it so that the rest of us have to live our lives under the thumb of an increasingly confining nanny state due to litigation like this.
This is only about having drinks limited as a customer, or having bartenders or establishments accepting a responsibility and passing on the costs to us as consumers, but this kind of thing affects all of us in every aspect of life from healthcare to buying allergy medicine.
I hate this.
I also blame the jury. It’s appalling that anyone could come away from this thinking that anyone was at fault other than this woman.
Must have had the “drink package”.
“This fills me with anger. “
Tequila in that quantity fills me with anger. It is kind of strange. If I drink 500ml of tequila I get just angry, I realize that there is no reason to be aggressive and angry but I am anyway (I will not drink more than 375ml of tequila at any one time ever)
Unlike Tequila, Vodka does really nothing to me. The only problem with Vodka is that if I drink more than 750ml I have a headache the next day.
That said, this lady is an idiot and needs to take care of her own problems.
Yeah! Way to go and spoil it for the rest of us who want to drink 15 shots!
Maybe the court expects Carnival to require field sobriety tests after a mere ten drinks!
Regards,
I’m ticked off every time I’m asked to show proof before being served alcohol. It’s a waste of my time. When I comment to the server, they just shrug, they don’t seem to mind that it’s a waste of their time, too.
Meh, when Big Brother is all knowing and all powerful, I won’t need to show proof of age. I might not be allowed alcohol, or not be able to afford it, though.
