We need a system where, if you draw ANY kind of assistance (e.g., welfare, SNAP, rent subsidies, Medicaid, etc), you show up every morning for work at 8AM at a gov’t building. You might wash windows, mop floors, clean toilets...whatever. You work until 5PM. If you don’t do this, no benefits. There will also be random drug testing. If they have to work anyway, I wonder how many would try to find a better-paying job?
