The National Guard is everywhere. I've thanked a unit from Mississippi and Idaho for making the city safe for tourists.
It is a fascinating city with museums, archives and historical sites. The street vendors, for the most part, don't even bother to display anti-Trump merchandise. It just doesn't sell.
I was there earlier in the month during cherry blossom time. The atmosphere has changed completely from when it was an enemy-occupied city.

I’m not allowed in foreign cities thanks to the Wuhan Coup flu, so no to DC. And also no to the schiffhole foreign cities like LA or NYC either.
