If the morally-confused Pope Leo XIV continues to assume the role of a partisan podcaster, he will very quickly lose his moral authority.
And that’s exactly what Leo is doing.
We all expect a pope to talk about and pray for peace in times of war, express a desire for unity in times of political divisiveness, and to always appeal to the best in humanity. That’s not what this pope has done. Instead, apparently under the sway of Barry Obama’s hatchet man and former campaign manager, David Axelrod, Leo is recklessly engaging in a left-wing campaign to damage President Trump’s and the Republican Party’s standing with Catholics, and, by extension, his own standing as a credible spiritual leader.

He’s a catholic. What moral authority did he ever have?
,,, I was a Catholic for just over forty years. When my first marriage ended I pretty much became a second class citizen in the church. My second wife is a Protestant. When we were dating she said to me "shouldn't your church be there for you?" That was a question that sat with me and it didn't take me long to work out that there's only one Jesus and a whole lot of franchises. I shifted to her church and found a gathering of great people, but more than that, a fullness for me in the Bible [and mid week study groups] that I never had in a church I'd been in for four decades.
Over the years I've thought the two things I really got something out of being a Catholic was midnight Mass at Christmas and the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday afternoon - no other group has those.
Leo is not about to read a Strongs Concordance. The distinction in Hebrew is ratsach in the commandment “Thou shalt not kill”, which corresponds to our understanding for most cases of first degree murder. In military and other settings, the words muwth, harag, shamad, charam and shachath are used, which King James translates to kill, slay or destroy.
In his Easter message Leo makes a breathtakingly ignorant use of scripture. The passage from Isaiah 1 begins at verse 10 by saying, “Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the instruction of our God, you people of Gomorra”. The passage condemns their practices because the sacrifices were shams. God was not repudiating the sacrificial system He created. Once again, the Pope is unwilling to differentiate between the words used for sacrificing an animal and a soldier killing an enemy in battle.
“In his Easter message Leo makes a breathtakingly ignorant use of scripture.”
Pope-a-dope isn’t the ONLY Catholic who’s guilty of “breathtakingly ignorant use of scripture.”
… just take a look up thread.
Scripture is entirely eclipsed by their traditions and the writings of their “church fathers“.
Their false doctrine has a very little to do with the entirety of scripture.
Sure, they use scripture, but only the parts they like- even if it takes a surgeon’s scalpel to exploit the isolated parts they want to use. And nobody in their realm stops the bleeding.

The Pope should be condemning the terrorist supporting regimes of this world... Instead, he condemns Trump and his efforts to eliminate such regimes. Big screw up on his part.
He’s attempting to emulate Pope JPII, but JPII is likely rolling over in his grave... Pope John Paul the second understood the evil of communism and helped end it with his politically active papacy.
This Pope’s politics are as far left of center and left of center gets. He’s making a fool of himself, because only a fool would side with Iran and it’s evilness over Trump.
He is correct. BY sharp-shooting Trump and no one else, he is literally pissing away any sense of goodwill and honesty. He is exposing himself as a marxist above all.
Secondly, the Vatican has already denied the fake news comments about Avignon.
a green anticarbon pope that says nothing about immigration in vast numvers, does nothing to punish perverted b8shops/cardinals, and says nothing about birth control and demographic decline, foes not evangelize....no longer has moral authority. Tragically.
Nuns in penguin suits with steel rulers, wicked blackboard pointers and right crosses that could have knocked out Mike Tyson. That was my early education. What I experienced as a kid in a Catholic elementary school some 60 odd years ago today would be considered child abuse.
,,, I’m one of two kids in my family - Irish lineage as well. My experience is the same, only the nuns used mahogany rulers on our knuckles. I knew grammar, times tables, world capitals and how to navigate the playground by the time I left primary school (elementary equivalent). These days we don’t smack kids, we just build more jails.
