Landed in a airport (passenger) late one evening
during the Clinton administration
Picked up the rental car
Drove towards my downtown hotel
The city 🏙️ was a typical Democrat-controlled place
I was forced to take a different street because the
main street downtown had been blocked off
Once I got within about a mile of the hotel I saw why
A bunch of basketball 🏀🏀🏀 goals lining the main street
Set up for the next day apparently
Nobody was out - maybe 8-10 p.m.

Boys doing stupid things in cars is probably the only part of this that I can relate to.
We used to (try) to do this with hummers in Iraq. In fact, stupid car stunts was one of the best ways to build rapport with young men in any given village.
Boys and cars doing stupid things is a universal love that crosses all cultures.
