I don’t disagree with that. But this image rubs me the wrong way. And I think Christians might get a little irked if they see it. I get it, he’s trolling. But you don’t want to alienate your base while doing it.

So, you have a real photo of either God or Jesus? So how do you know who Trump is “mocking” Maybe he is posing as one of the disciples? One thing I will give credit to fellow Conservatives for, they are never guilty of underthinking anything....
Do the objectors think he is illegitimately giving the sacrament of extreme unction? Is that objection because only those who have the sacrament of holy orders have this authority?
Is the objection to the image of light coming from the President's left hand? Is that why/how they say he is portrayed as Jesus?
Or, does the image depict the unseen spiritual battle that is taking place in a world where Satan continues to devour what is good?

Intent matters.
If he’s intending to portray himself as Christ, then that’s bad and he needs to repent. If he intends to portray himself as God’s servant, well, that’s something else.
Having said that, Trump is a heckuvalot closer to God’s will right now than Catholicism has been for a long, long time.
