In WW2, Germany tried to break the will of Britain by bombing.
It didn’t work.

And the Allies tried to break the will of Germany by bombing.
That didn’t work, either. Only an invasion worked.

Will Iran be any different?
Time will tell.

Good points!

The only exception, bombing did cause Japan to surrender. So maybe it just has to cause enough destruction.

In WW II only dumb bombs were being used and while they killed civilians by the thousands, many military targets went untouched.

I was stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany in the early 60's and the allies bombed that location for three years, the target, a ball bearing factory, located under a nearby mountain, went untouched.

The town was decimated and thousands of civies were killed.

To compare the actions/results from 80 years ago to present day warfare is foolish.

Trench warfare in WW I was stupid, BUT, it was the only option available at the time.

Do you think that hiding in a trench would save you today?
