I have two ancestors that I am NOT proud of...One worked for Columbus (freed from the dungeon to sail off the Earth) and Jefferson Davis, a Great, great (repeat until factual) grandfather of mine.
On the other hand my Grandfather was a judge for 37 years in Livingston, MT and the KKK burned a cross in his yard — they wanted him to find a Blackman guilty of murder (a bench trial, not jury trial as requested by the accused) on a Sunday night (my mother was eight years old and woke up scared because she thought the neighbors house was on fire) only to see 50+ clowns in white robes and hats threatening my Grandfather.
He stood his ground and found the man innocent.
About 6 months later one of those pigs was arrested for the murder and my GF oversaw the trial (by jury) and he sentenced him to death by hanging in the public square...
Maybe my family is making progress after many centuries...I despise Sharption!
What if your ancestors weren’t even in America at the time of slaver or for close to a hundred years after it was abolished? What if your ancestors were actually enslaved by moslems....just like the Africans?
