Forgot to post this about the city. Wife and I were walking around and decided to sit down and rest and have a drink. We went into a bar and it was about half full but dimly lit. When my eyes adjusted to the dim light I turned to my wife and said, “you are the only female in the bar.” LOL.

The waiter was courteous and proper, I had no problem with it. It was their bar. I just found it amusing as did my wife.

Back around 1982, my dad, a midwest farmer/corporate pilot, flew some banker types to SF. He said the first evening he left the hotel by himself, just walking among and looking up at the impressive buildings.

After a few blocks he suddenly noticed the type of people lingering along the sidewalk, turned 180 and headed right back to the hotel. He said, “those guys were tough looking, wearing leather, but looking at me like I was a woman” (a 10 year younger version of Gregory Peck, my dad looked very manly).
