Denial? How so? Almost everyone on this site is a gloomy pessimist.
Every time any inconvenient development - or “special election” where a Democrat wins a red Trump district - is published on the site: the denial is off the chains.
Some patterns:
- Criticize the source “Oh it’s the NY Slimes...” (which broke Pam Bondi’s firing a day before the White House announced, among others.)
- Shooting (figuratively) the messenger. Oh you’re just a “RINO concern-troll.” Or regarding someone in the media: “Tucker is just a Qatar troll...”
Well guess what, even if that’s true: he’s influential. It mattered what a whole slew of those podcasters said for 2024...And without them, it’s an uphill climb for 2026 and beyond...
The pessimism is a byproduct of the average Freeper demo: 65, pasty White, retired, and rural/exurban. Not a lack of intelligence, but a high degree of susceptibility. At this point, the average Freeper is just the right-wing version of a mouth-breathing leftist, hooked on the same kind of 'end-is-near' influence.
