It is not completely useless. I have used it to generate code in OpenSCAD for geometric models. That being said, it can and does make mistakes. I had to suffer with it for it’s belief that trig functions required arguments in radians, when in fact it was in degrees. Once I quoted the user manual, it finally agreed, but made no apology.

Where there times it was right and you were wrong? did you apologize?

Yeah, I use it for powershell but you really need to select ‘deep dive’ mode otherwise it will half-ass it sometimes. Definitely don’t use Ai for opinions or political news.

I used Co-pilot to speed up some big business contract reviews. I’ve also used it to create some utility scripts that sped up some of my daily business processes. (That was before last November, when AI pushed me into retirement.)
