You might be right. Too often if you go against what’s popular at the moment here on FR, you’re not just wrong. You’re denounced as an idiot, a troll, etc.

That’s actually a Saul Alinsky tactic.


Yep and it is affecting click/views here on FR (click/view counts way down). I have noticed a late evening/early AM “deadness”/lack of posting that FR did not have in the 1998-2020 time frame. It a conservative discussion forum not a one size fits all protective bubble for one particular opinion on a topic. Also the personal attacks/name-calling in the past couple of years definitely don’t help the situation.

I’ve also noticed that dead zone of posting. The vicious attacks must be a factor.

I notice the same. It gets old after a while. Especially with those "sophomoric comments" you speak of. The Mods used to do a good job playing "referee" but now it's free for all. Anyone can insult anybody. After a while, some people end up leaving and I don't blame them.
