Here’s the way I look at it. It’s a long story, but I avoided the Covid jab pretty much by dumb luck.
Fauci pushed that jab, hard. And Fauci was originally appointed by Ronald Reagan. And he was continued in his offices by Donald Trump.
So I assign zero blame to folks here who were proponents of the jab. They were perhaps just too trusting of Reagan and Trump.
There is an annoying straw man argument that always muddied the waters regarding this issue, and still does:
Namely, the fact that there are good people who have defended vaccines - and there are strong arguments in favor of vaccines. All that is true but irrelevant.
That was NEVER the issue with the whole Covid fiasco..
The issue was forcing people to get vaccinated by government mandate or corporate policy, or by restricting travel and freedom of association for the unvaccinated, or by socially shaming and demonizing those who chose not to get vaccinated.
Reagan never would have been any part of that, and neither would President Trump.
I was totally unaware of that connection.
Whether it was amazing cynicism or “ second sight” I immediately KNEW this was some sketchy BS to be avoided at all costs.
Only sorry I was far more right than I ever imagined I’d be.
One of Trumps biggest mistakes. Absolutely.
