That was what I expected to see, but now I'm not sure. The dems and the media are playing the "race card" --- saying black candidates were left out of the scheduled debate (now cancelled). Sounds like they're giving up on the Governor's race and instead are working to delegitimize the contest and the office if they don't somehow win it.
If a Republican wins, he'll be a racist who stole the election. With supermajorities in both houses, the dems can block anything an (R) governor attempts. Recall petitions will be printed up as soon as they know which name to fill in.
And the dems will make absolutely sure they win the next election.

I think the Democrats will keep pecking at Swalwell by releasing negative info about him and eventually push him out. They haven’t been fighting back too hard about the questions of his residency and, of course, his fang-fang episode being back in the news.
Isn’t Steyer a .com billionaire? This is more a vanity thing than a money thing. He could be bought with power but I doubt with money.
