I did not say I agreed with what they did. I am just stating that is what happened and one of the reasons WHY it did.
The people that made those decisions to let so many serfs did it to depress wages too. With a decrease in young people it drives up the wages of the meanial jobs. The people doing labor intensive occupations. Like mowing your lawn or cleaning the toilets.
Generally, our children do not want to do landscaping, roofing or even picking produce/fruit.
This is why we have guest worker programs. The problem is when those guest workers do not go back to the country they came from when the VISA is up.
The other major reason was the demographic shift out of high tax states into lower tax states. Eventually leading to loss of Congress Reps and Electoral Votes for CA, NY, IL, NJ. Then gains for FL, TX, ID, AZ, NC, SC. So, the Dems had to do something about it.
Which is also WHY states like MN don’t do anything about the immigrants stealing from Medicare. It is THEIR voters.
ALL of these issues were the result of FALLING BIRTH RATES.
Most do not want to work starting jobs, regardless of it needs to be “required” that is how they learn, importing others removes the work education process.
