No. My son bought one only a few years ago. But, since 1951, when someone buys a firearm legally in Canada, it’s automatically registered, so the feds know who has a firearm. Now they want everyone to give them up. I don’t know the law and am not sure if they MUST give them up or if it remains voluntary … for now.
Canadians need to adopt the “from my cold dead hands” mindset, and set up alliances with fellow Canadians that also own firearms to not only resist, but make it so that these retired officers that come to confiscate, are too afraid to do that job, are highly concerned that they will not return home at the end of the day.
It is the government of Canada declaring war on its citizens.
According to the radio this morning, all firearms must be surrendered under penalty of law. Alberta plans to vote on secession in the Fall.
