You don't have to click on any links if LJ uses the HTML at the start and end of her posts which I provided. Those who wish to read her posts click on nothing, they just read on through. Those who enjoy outsized posts will not be inconvenienced.
Those of us who don't wish to be force-fed content they aren't interested in can do the heavy lifting and click on a link to skip to the next post.
